Small Acts Countless Rewards in Islam

Allah the Exalted and merciful is worthy to seek forgiveness and to ask for ultimate source of guidance. Allah loves His people and always provides them with ease as religion Islam itself is a religion of peace and there lies no offence. In Quran Allah says

“Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and [wants] for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that [to] which He has guided you; and perhaps you will be grateful.” [2: 185]

Allah has instilled upon us many blessings out of which few are to neglect sins either by the act of repentance, contrition of adopting few acts (Aamals) that will alleviate sins by embarking with total forgiveness. Allah sent His last messenger as a source of guidance for the entire Ummah and whose life is full of such Amaaals that can eventually lead a Muslim to attain Allah’s mercy as stated:

“Whoever recites Surah Yaseen at night seeking the pleasure of Allah, that night he will be forgiven.” [Abu Nuaym]

Too good to be true

The sole purpose of Human creation is to worship Allah in order to implore His forgiveness at the Day of resurrection to be a blessed Ummati of Prophet (PBUH) by being with him in paradise. It sounds easy but for the achievement, Allah has set litmus test without which no one can enter into Jannah without fulfilling prerequisites. Dua is considered the essence of worship therefore Muslims worship Allah almighty to attain blessings and rewards. Everything holds shortcuts and earning maximum rewards and bounties in Islam, too has a short cut that will promise a Muslim to let him enter in Paradise at Dooms day by becoming an interceder at the day of Final Judgment. Small acts can earn maximum threads of virtues, including:

Visa to enter Paradise

It is narrated in Hadith that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said:

“Whoever recites Aayatul Kursi after every Fard (Fard Salat). Only death is keeping him/her from entering Jannah.” [Ibn E Nasa’i]

At another place, it is stated that:

“Whoever says ‘Radeetu billahi rabban, Wa bil-Islaami deenan, Wa bi-Muhammadin Nabiyan’ Jannah becomes obligatory for him (to enter).” [Abu Dawud]

· Perfect Hajj and Umrah

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) has taught his ummah the simplest act of attaining the rewards for performing perfect Hajj and Umrah. In Hadith, it is narrated that:

“Whoever prays Fajr (morning prayer) in congregation then sits remembering Allah until the sun rises, then prays two units of prayer has the reward like that of Hajj and Umrah.” [Tirmidhi]

At another place, Muhammad (PBUH) has said:

“Whoever recited Surah Yasin will have reward to 20 pilgrimages.” [Tirmidhi]

Even listening to the recitation of Surah Yasin imparts the virtue of donating 20 dinars.

· Complete Recitation of Quran

Mere reciting small Quran surahs will complete the recitation of Quran as stated in Hadiths by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) that:

“Could any one of you not recite one third of the Quran in one night?’ They found the idea too difficult and said: ‘Who among us could do that, O Messenger of Allah?’ He said, Surah ikhlaas is one third of the Quran.’” [Bukhari]

“Reading Suarh Yasin is equivalent to the recitation of 10 Qurans.” [Tirmidhi]

Concluding, in our chaotic monotonous routine it is quite tough for us to grab the bounties and virtues of Allah Almighty. The aforementioned small acts are some of the ways that can help in earning thousand rewards within no time.
